There are regular movie nights.
And then there is The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
On Friday, October 30, 3-21 No Kiddin’ in downtown Naugatuck is getting a little louder, a little stranger, a lot more fabulous—and fully interactive—for a Halloween weekend celebration of one of the most beloved cult classics of all time.
Doors open at 7 PM. The show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $25 and include your first non-alcoholic or functional drink plus a curated audience participation prop bag.
And yes, costumes are highly encouraged.
Why Rocky Horror? Why 3-21 No Kiddin’?
Honestly, it makes almost too much sense.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show has spent generations bringing together people who weren't particularly interested in fitting neatly into somebody else's box. It's theatrical. It's weird. It's funny. It's campy. It's participatory. And for many fans, it has long represented a place where individuality, self-expression and being gloriously different aren't merely tolerated—they're part of the experience.
That's pretty damn close to how we feel about 3-21 No Kiddin’.
We're a non-alcoholic bottle shop, sober bar and adult social space in Naugatuck, Connecticut, built around a simple idea: adults deserve more places to connect, play, laugh, experiment and meet new people without alcohol being the price of admission.
You don't have to be sober. You don't have to be in recovery. You don't have to believe what the person sitting next to you believes.
You just have to respect the room and the humans in it.
Our community includes people from all kinds of backgrounds, identities and life experiences. We're proudly queer-friendly, welcoming and inclusive—and, yes, those who know will appreciate that we're even Shane-certified. 💜
This is a place to show up as yourself.
And really, what movie could fit that better than Rocky Horror?
Celebrating the Legendary Tim Curry
This night will also carry a little extra meaning.
Following the death of Tim Curry in August 2026, revisiting his unforgettable performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter feels particularly poignant.
Curry created a character that became bigger than a single movie. Decades later, people are still dressing up, quoting the film, dancing, shouting at screens and introducing new generations to the wonderfully strange world he helped create.
So October 30 won't be a memorial service. Tim Curry would deserve something considerably more fabulous than that.
Instead, we're celebrating.
The performance. The character. The audacity. The humor. The music. And the cult classic that somehow keeps finding new people more than 50 years later.
And Speaking of New People… Bobbie Is a Rocky Horror Virgin
Yep.
For all the weird things Bobbie has done in her life, she has never experienced an interactive Rocky Horror screening.
Until now.
Fortunately, some of our customers are seasoned Rocky Horror veterans—and they're taking over the microphones to help emcee and guide the evening.
So if you're another Rocky Horror virgin who has heard about the callbacks, props and audience participation but has absolutely no idea what you're supposed to yell or when you're supposed to yell it, you're not walking into the room alone.
And if you've done the Time Warp more times than you can count?
We need you, too.
Come help show the virgins how it's done.
This Is Not Sit Quietly and Watch a Movie Night
Rocky Horror was made for participation.
Expect callbacks. Expect singing. Expect people who know what's coming before it happens. Expect people who have no freaking clue. Expect costumes, laughter, ridiculousness and a room full of people giving themselves permission to play.
Every ticket includes a curated participation prop bag, so we'll provide the goodies you'll need for our version of the experience. To protect our space—and everyone enjoying it—we're asking guests to leave outside props at home unless 3-21 No Kiddin’ specifically announces otherwise.
We'll also have an audience-voted Best Dressed Rocky Horror Character, so this is absolutely an opportunity to commit to the assignment.
Fishnets? We won't complain.
Halloween Without the Hangover
Here's another reason Rocky Horror belongs at a sober bar.
Halloween can be an incredibly fun holiday—and so many adult Halloween events are still built almost entirely around alcohol.
We're doing something different.
Come have something bubbly without the hangover. Try an alcohol-free beer, wine or spirit. Explore functional and adaptogenic drinks. Let Bobbie help you find something you've never tasted before.
Your first non-alcoholic or functional drink is included with your $25 ticket, and plenty more will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
You get the party.
You get the costumes.
You get the ridiculousness.
You get the social experience.
You just don't need the alcohol to make any of it happen.
Looking for Something Different to Do Halloween Weekend in Connecticut?
We built 3-21 No Kiddin’ because we believe adults need more third spaces—places beyond home and work where people can actually connect.
Rocky Horror is almost the perfect experiment in what happens when you put people into a room and give them permission to participate instead of spectate.
Whether you're sober, sober-curious, alcohol-free for the night, queer, straight, partnered, single, new to Connecticut, a lifelong Naugatuck Valley local, a Rocky Horror fanatic or a complete virgin like Bobbie:
There's room for you here.
Come dressed up.
Come curious.
Come ready to participate.
Come ready to laugh.
Come as you are. Come clear. Come ready to do the Time Warp. 💋
